Dorothy Stroud served as the Assistant Curator at the Sir John Soane’s Museum for nearly forty years under John Summerson. Stroud saw to the day-to-day operation of the Museum in addition to researching and publishing other noteable biographies on Soane’s architectural tutors, George Dance and Henry Holland.
